Businesses are continuously searching for cutting-edge chips to enhance their goods, which include tablets, laptops, cellphones, and electric vehicles, among other things.Tata Electronics remained silent over the event.

According to reports, the company has already received advance orders for the 28 nm chips up to its capacity level. The market share of chips between 28 and 90 nm is currently 50%. However, given the global trend, it is imperative to move forward with sophisticated nodes as well, according to sources. They also mentioned that the companies are creating domestic technologies in the area of assembly, testing, marking, and packaging (ATMP).

Tata plans to build a fab in Dholera that can create 3 billion chips annually, with a monthly capacity of 50,000 wafers. Among other businesses, the plant's chips will serve the high-performance computer, electric car, consumer electronics, and defense sectors. The fabrication facility would cater to both the strategic and commercial domains.

By the end of 2026, the factory is anticipated to produce its first chip.

A fabrication typically takes four years. Our objective is to start chip production in 2026. The chairman of Tata Sons, N Chandrasekaran, had stated during the groundbreaking ceremony for the semiconductor projects, "Hopefully, in the latter part of the year."

In addition to the fabrication plant, the Tata Group is funding an ATMP project in Assam with Rs 27,000 crore.

"Assam might be finished sooner. By late 2025 or early 2026, we might start commercial production in Assam," Chandrasekaran had previously stated.

About 50,000 jobs are anticipated to be created in the company's fab unit in Dholera, while another 20,000–22,000 employment would be created at the Assam facility.

Under the Rs 76,000 crore semiconductor incentive plan, the Union Cabinet authorized semiconductor projects worth Rs 1.26 trillion in February. The third project that was accepted was from CG Power, in addition to the two projects from the Tata group. This Rs 7,600 crore ATMP facility is a joint venture between Thailand's Stars Microelectronics and Japan-based Renesas Electronics.

According to official estimates, the approved semiconductor projects will create 100,000 indirect jobs and 20,000 direct positions in advanced technology.

The government is now reviewing an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) unit by Kaynes Technology and a $11 billion chip project by Tower Semiconductor.

CSK seems positive LSG leads in the last stretch at home

Is it possible for LSG to double dip on the holders? © BCCI.

The Chennai Super Kings have performed admirably at Chepauk, but have struggled away from home, dropping three of their last four games. They are ready to begin a run of three games at the venue, where they want to shake off some of the scratchiness that has been attached to them thus far. They are undefeated at home in their last three games. The Lucknow Super Giants are traveling in a comparable vessel. After playing CSK in Chennai, they begin a run of three home games after having lost their previous two away games.

The weight of expectations and importance is not lost on the teams, especially CSK, as they enter a critical part of the season where every loss would result in extra pressure.

"Obviously, it will be crucial; as the tournament draws to a close, victories hold greater significance," remarked batting coach Michael Hussey. "Winnings are significant at any point throughout the tournament, though. Though we've gotten off to a reasonably good start, we aim to maintain our strong home record. We have a terrific chance if we can perform well in the next three games."

It came with a warning that applied to both groups. However, it's also risky for us to assume that it will happen on its own. Furthermore, thinking too far ahead of ourselves is risky," Hussey stated.

"We must devote all of our concentration and effort to our match against LSG tomorrow night. Try to take care of business in that game is all we can concentrate on right now. After that, we'll eagerly anticipate the next one. You're focusing on unimportant things if you begin to believe that we will win the next three games. The quick answer, I suppose, is that we're not planning too far ahead, but the tournament is at a crucial point, he continued.

The fact that the two teams have played three days earlier gives Tuesday's game a benefit due to the players' prior familiarity with one another. With the short turnaround between games, it is unlikely that the team combinations will vary very much. KL Rahul, the captain of Lucknow, stated that he had instructed his team to be ready to play despite loud opposition support. In a campaign that has seen ups and downs, it will give the team a major boost if they can quiet those supporters on their own field.

When: April 23, 2024, at 19:30 IST, Chennai Super Kings vs. Lucknow Super Giants

Where: Chepauk's MA Chidambaram Stadium

What to expect: In the three games this season that have been played here, the conditions in Chepauk have been as expected, with both pacers and spinners making an effect. The pitch's characteristics are unlikely to alter in the city's typically hot and muggy weather.

CSK 1 - 2 LSG in head-to-head play

Teams

Chennai Super Kings

Availability/Injuries:

Strategies & Match-ups: With Moeen Ali replacing Daryl Mitchell, CSK has an opportunity to attack LSG's left-handers, especially Nicholas Pooran and Quinton de Kock. He has already been dismissed six times in T20 cricket, so he would be a viable alternative to target de Kock early in the powerplay. Since the previous IPL, LSG has also lost more wickets to left-arm pace than any other team. Even though Mustafizur Rahman was CSK's most costly bowler in their previous match against LSG, it puts him right back in the mix.

Most likely starting XI: MS Dhoni, Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur Rahman, Matheesha Pathirana, Moeen Ali, Sameer Rizvi, Rachin Ravindra, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, and Ruturaj Gaikwad [Impact Sub: Deshpande Tushar]

Lucknow Super Giants

Availability/Injuries: Mayank Yadav has remained in Lucknow and is probably going to be taken into consideration for the next LSG tour.

Strategies and matchups: This season, Marcus Stoinis has been dismissed the most times of any batter—five times against spin.

Predicted starting eleven: Matt Henry, Ravi Bishnoi, Yash Thakur, Mohsin Khan, Ayush Badoni, Quinton de Kock, Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and KL Rahul Impact substitute: Devdutt Padikkal

Are you aware of this?

- KL Rahul's S/R of 150 indicates that this has been his finest Powerplay phase since 2018. He also has a strong record against CSK, having amassed four fifties in eight innings.

- In all T20 matches, Shardul Thakur has five times in 18 balls dismissed Nicholas Pooran.

What they expressed

"He is an excellent player and has been one for a considerable amount of time. He plays excellent shots all around the field, making him very challenging to bowl to. He appears confident, is playing some excellent cricket, and appears to be in a great frame of mind right now. Because of this, he is highly hazardous. Furthermore, I believe he has the capacity to play that big innings, scoring 80 runs or more. You'll win a lot of games if you have a batter in your lineup who can score 80 runs or more. Thus, it will definitely help us if we can get things going quickly. To Quinton de Kock and to him. There was that one.

The Indian Rupee now seeks to become the second reserve currency in the world.

Over the past month, the Indian Rupee (INR) has experienced a significant decline in value relative to the US Dollar (USD). As a result, the INR's buying power on the global market has declined, and import expenses have gone up dramatically. India suffers greatly from the devaluation of the INR because of its heavy reliance on oil imports.

India made an agreement with the UAE in July to pay the oil bill in Indian rupees as a proactive reaction to this difficult scenario. This setup is a workaround. India had also traded Indian rupees for imports of Russian oil. India now buys crude oil from 39 nations, so there is a lot of room for such an agreement with other nations.

In light of the most recent information, discussions are underway regarding the RBI adopting steps to allow INR in Thailand, an increasingly popular overseas travel destination for Indians.

RBI allowed banks in eighteen countries to open Special Vostro Rupee Accounts (SVRAs) for the purpose of settling payments, hence establishing the system for rupee trade settlement.

The process of internationalizing INR involves all of these processes of using INR as a payment method rather than paying using foreign money, in this example USD. Longer term, investors (local and international) will gain from the following advantages if this approach is completed successfully:

Decrease in currency appreciation and exchange rate volatility

Growth of foreign capital inflows into the economy as a result of lower currency fluctuation risk, considering that the majority of international companies wish to open offices in India and that investors want to place their bets on the potential

Lower import costs will help countries' balance sheets and decrease their current account deficit.

Help India by increasing its geopolitical power due to the development of bilateral trade agreements that will increase its conomic relations with other nations.

Relieve the RBI of the burden of having to maintain large USD reserves, which as of March 29 were at an all-time high of $645.6 billion.

America is a powerhouse in large part because of its strong currency, which makes up more than half of the foreign exchange reserves held by central banks worldwide. Most international trade is conducted in US dollars. It makes it easier for the USA to create more money and makes it easier to borrow more money from other nations.

India is currently the main developing economy in the world with the quickest rate of growth. It is anticipated to become the third largest economy very soon. There is optimism around the world for the Indian economy. India is now included in the Global Emerging Market Bond Index of JP Morgan and Bloomberg. With such a strong foundation, there is reason to hope that the Indian rupee will become a substitute reserve currency. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Government of India (GoI) have made considerable progress in encouraging global acceptance of the Indian rupee (INR).

The Indian financial market will directly benefit from the internationalization of the INR in addition to reducing transaction costs on overseas trades. As the INR strengthens, capital flows into the debt and equities markets will increase. Investor confidence in the market and liquidity will both increase.

The strong and stable INR will also boost the purchasing power of Indians, advance economic growth, and provide greater returns for foreign investment. India and the world economy will therefore benefit from the internationalization of the INR.

Technical Prognosis:

Growing geopolitical concerns in the Middle East caused the Indian market to experience increased volatility last week. Over the week, the Nifty saw a 1.65% correction, ultimately closing at 22,147. Businesses have started to release their Q4 earnings, which has led to anticipation of large fluctuations in the market.

One important measure of volatility, the India VIX, had a spike of over 16%, which was its biggest weekly rise of the year. FPIs, or foreign portfolio investors, kept selling their stocks. With Nifty IT falling 4.7% last week, the Nifty is still below its crucial 50-day moving average (DMA), which indicates a poorer overall market sentiment.

Above roughly 21,800, immediate support is predicted, and above 22,400, resistance. A "sell on rise" approach is advised for the upcoming week, at least until the Index crosses 22,400.
